CLBO
CLBO (CsLiB6O10) is a new nonlinear optical crystal mainly developed for UV applications. The crystal’s phase matching range allows to obtain 4th harmonic of Nd: YAG, YLF and Glass lasers using Type 1 phase matching Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) of 532 nm and to obtain 5th harmonic employing Type 1 Sum Frequency Mixing (SFM) of 1064+266 nm. Comparing to BBO crystal CLBO has lower deff nonlinear coefficient, however CLBO advantages are smaller walk-off angle, larger spectral and angular acceptance bandwidths. Additionally CLBO crystal exhibits bulk damage threshold almost twice that of BBO.
